Pros
My manager was good. She was upbeat, fought for us.
Cons
Why would a sales associate also have to clean the bathrooms? You get paid one extra dollar - ONE DOLLAR - to be a key holder which means you open and close, count the drawer, make change, train, go to the bank, run reports, clean the store, take our the trash, answer phones, train new hires, do the daily incoming manifest, set up display boards, handle shipments incoming and outgoing, resolve complex eye exam issues, work w the doctors, restock, do inventory several times a year, AND CLEAN THE NASTY BATHROOMS. They are so cheap that they don’t even hire a co to handle cleaning. For a whopping 16.00 an hour we are responsible for all of that. And on top of it all, turn over is a big issue because of it, and when we’re short staffed, they don’t care. They don’t send anyone in to help. We’re just expected to handle it. We sometimes don’t even take lunch and work through lunch to help customers. The district and area managers only care about numbers. You can have your family call in sick w Covid or some serious issue and the big manager doesn’t care.
