Pros
Working at Nations Info Corp was a fantastic experience. They have built a terrific culture for teamwork and camaraderie among their staff across all levels of the organization. From day one, everyone was super supportive and helpful in getting me onboarded and up to speed on the company's mission, vision, and goals. I found everyone was very open and approachable, from the CEO to the summer interns. I thought they did a great job putting people first and cultivating an environment where everyone is cared for and can thrive. Due to the pandemic and lack of in-person contact, I appreciated the HR department working so hard putting together lots of online team and company-wide Zoom events (e.g., escape room, trivia questions, ask the CEO anything). These team events allowed me to meet people all over the organization. Which in turn, allowed me to build personal relationships with my coworkers outside the normal project-related communication channels. Having personal relationships makes work fun and helps with cross-functional communication. One of the aspects of the company I love is that the company is a data-driven organization and has a strong leadership team. The leadership team helped us understand the company-wide strategic focus and vision by inspiring us on what the north star looks like. I felt I had autonomy and was empowered to push my project forward and drive towards the personal KPIs that I set with my manager. I feel NIC does a great job of allowing its employees to have a work-life balance. I highly recommend working for Nations Info Corp.
