Cons
Beware: This company pays severance to its employees they fire or who quit with major grievances and include a requirement to not share any negative reviews publicly. The negative reviews you see here are completely accurate as they are likely from those they didn't pay off, but are clearly not all-inclusive. The positive reviews are primarily from the toxic management staff and HR support roles. Not even sure where to begin. They definitely put on a good front in the beginning to make you buy into the company mission. However, once you are in the company about a month or so, you'll quickly start to identify why the many complaints spanning back years in their negative employee reviews and beyond. I'll try to succinctly list them out: poor hiring practices (hiring friends or people unfit to fill the positions while ignoring those better qualified); poor training and lack of resources to do the job; inappropriate relationships between management and lower-level employees; racism is rampant (with lots of "talk" about diversity); "good ol' boy" culture where white men scratch each other's back for job opportunities, advancement, and favor; toxic work environment where people are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs (don't even think about using their HR department); too many chiefs (Managers, Directors, Leads, Senior Employees, Supervisors, Officers, etc.) to employee ratio; excessive change (your entire job and pay changes in a moment's notice retroactive back to the start of the month multiple times a year); inept leaders who don't know how to manage at all (like working for Peter Pan and the Lost Boys); unethical business practices (excessive rate increases, coverage changes, failure to follow basic insurance principles you'd expect because they are "exempt" from the laws); blatant lies and threats are a normal part of your work week regardless of your performance (I have never missed a goal and most of the "complainers" are high performers with tenure); favoritism (Some employees rarely meet goals yet keep their jobs for years, while others make a minor misstep and are fired. Typically racially motivated or a product of favoritism.); difficult to advance your career if you are not deeply connected to management through inappropriate relationships; lacks privacy (You'll know what every prior and current employee does/did even if it violates HR policies to share this sensitive information. One disturbing example is protected health information.); low morale; no teamwork or loyalty among the many types of work teams; always talk or hint about the company going possibly bankrupt and needing to make major changes; retaliation happens all the time; no clear rating system or metrics, etc.
