Unrealistic Sales Quotas That Ignore Market Reality - Sales Associate Naylor Association Solutions Employee Review

Pros

You gain experience working with association clients.

Cons

- The biggest issue was how relentless the sales expectations were compared to the actual demand - Often pushing advertising or solutions to associations with limited budgets while quotas completely ignore that reality - Work turns into forcing products onto clients who are not ready - The process feels unnatural and repetitive - It becomes draining trying to chase targets that have no connection to what the market can realistically support

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the experience gained working with association clients, which remains a key focus of our organization. We recognize that sales roles can be demanding and require balancing client needs, budgets, and market conditions. At Naylor, we are committed to setting performance expectations that are both realistic and aligned with these factors. The long tenure and consistent success of many members of our sales team reflect our ability to provide achievable goals, strong support, and solutions that deliver value to our partners. While we value all perspectives shared, it is also important to acknowledge that sales roles may not be the right fit for every individual. We wish you success in your future endeavors and thank you again for your feedback.

Pros

- Management knows what they're doing and does a good job at getting interdepartmental projects done smartly - Lots of vacation time - Very good about remote work flexibility

Cons

- Annual performance reviews & raises were not a standardized company process during my time there. Raises were at the discretion of your direct manager - Smaller company means health insurance was lackluster. Would not recommend joining unless you can be on your spouse's health insurance coverage

Thank you for sharing your feedback and noting positives like project management, vacation time, and remote flexibility. Regarding performance reviews and raises, we follow a standardized annual review process. It’s possible there was a one-off where a review wasn’t completed during your 1–2 years with us, but consistency remains a priority. Providing the best benefits possible to employees and their families is always important to us. Healthcare changes nationwide have impacted small and mid-sized businesses like Naylor, but we strive to offer strong options while keeping them affordable. We did notice the job title and location listed don’t align with our records, making it hard to confirm context and focus on any specific concerns you mentioned. More detailed feedback would help us address concerns effectively, and we encourage employees to share issues with HR during their tenure. Your feedback is valued, and we wish you success in all your future pursuits.

Pros

Opportunities if you're assigned with a good territory.

Cons

- Competition is ruthless. - Colleagues become fiercely competitive and constantly clash over territories, stolen clients, and commissions. - The people responsible for this are management. - The unfair treatment and blatant favoritism were impossible to ignore. - Better territories were handed to favored employees while expecting everyone to hit the same targets.
