Pros

Good beaches nearby if you work in the Florida office and you get to wear flip flops at the office

Cons

Terrible atmosphere in the Boston office. Very political bureaucracy, and "good old boys" culture. Enormous turnover among sales No one in management has produced research, sold financial services, or managed money. Every initiative they take fails miserably. Rather than take any responsibility, management usually fires a couple salespeople and comes up with another failed business idea, like "the data product". Good strategists (head of commodities, ETFs, Europe) have left and not been replaced. The rest are interviewing or waiting for retirement. Many are stuck there and just hope to draw their paychecks until the place goes bust. Management puts insane sales targets, provides no training, and does not care about the product: sales' jobs is to force good customers to accept crazy price hikes every year. Some clients still pay because Ned and Tim had good calls over the years, but this place is done when they retire.

Pros

Bottom line: DO NOT WORK THERE There are no pros working for the IT department there, except learning what you do not want in your career.

Cons

I have been a BA for over 5 years and that was the worst 6 month contract I have had in my career thus far. Here is what to look out for before applying to NDR: 1. Abundantly socially awkward atmosphere - you are on your own. It is like high school 2. Extreme Useless Micro Management - they have no clue what they are doing, and will pressure you immensely over minor tasks 3. They claim to be AGILE - There is nothing AGILE about this place 4. They have JIRA and have no clue how to use JIRA 5. There is no PMO - Like I said, there is no PMO. 6. There is NO BA ROLE – There is no business to talk to. This place is small, I mean small. The researchers been there forever and talk to the developers who been there forever also. You will not interact with any ‘business’ directly. 7. If you ask for help they will turn it against you – If you ask a colleague there for help on understanding something and if you are trying to learn the processes there, they will complain. They complain…complain and complain Shall I go on?????? If you do not head this warning, go there and work there. I guarantee you it will be the biggest mistake in your career. STAY FAR AWAY
