Cons
People are seen as functions that should stay in their line. Innovation or strategic thinking is done in a small circle, the huge remaining Part of the workforce has no option to participate. Lack of leadership. The middle Management in my unit is full of technicians that are great in their Domain but have no knowledge or ability in leading people. Hence, micro management is the way to go and if you bring up that the way we work is not in line with agile ways of working as ness claims to operate, you get discredited publicly. Even people going to HR to raise their experiences and quitting does not lead to any changes. The motto is "shut up and Do exactly what your Job description says and care only about yourself" if you want to have a Stress free life, at least in the project I am working on. Any additional Initiative is not wanted. Hence, it is no surprise that with time, you get a Horde of specialists that cannot think outside their little box. Ness solves problems with money. This should usually be the last resort as there are many other ways to tie people to you (e.g. creating a appreciative culture).
