Cons
Horrible pay compensation when considering the technical responsibilities of the job. Difficult to get to from public transit; conducive to (very) local residents only. Experienced staff treat you like a peasant, and regularly disregard your opinions. As much as I was a part of the team, I never felt important to the team. Team consisted of close-nit friends that have worked together for 10+ years, and treated me like I should've already learned their extremely modded in-house software prior to being hired for the job. As fast as I feel I am at learning new software packages and techniques, I never felt my efforts were up to par with what they wanted, and I felt ridiculed out of "fun activities" that occasionally occurred around the offices. It seems the only people that succeed from the paid internship, and are ultimately offered a full-time position are the people that regularly left their desk to mingle in other departments, and make friends with the important figures at the studio. Hard work was not valued as highly as I felt it should've been.
