Pros
Working a job that actually feels meaningful. Good pay and benefits. Work with Residents in a more home based environment. Coworkers are great. Ability to bank hours. First aid training and UMAB paid for. Ability to get to know residents individually. Mileage. Only work 15 days a month. Overtime available.
Cons
Shift work (day and night shifts). Two day shifts, two night shifts, four days off. Some residents can be aggressive at times, but you are supplied training to handle this. Some lifting required for wheelchair residents (potential for injury if not done correctly).
