Pros
The peers I worked alongside were encouraging, supportive, and were genuinely interested in my growth as a teammate and a person. I felt comfortable enough with my immediate manager to be able to communicate concerns and issues I ran into day to day.
Cons
There wasn’t a lot of forethought when it came to my role, and that became apparent once my hiring manager moved onto a role somewhere else. While I appreciated the fact that I wasn’t immediately let go, no one knew what my purpose was and I was jockeyed around several teams that didn’t know what to do with me. As a result I felt like I wasn’t supported enough to do my job and do it well, nor did I really feel like any of my work made any kind of difference. I had a few colleagues who made it bearable but it is not an experience I look back on fondly.
