Pros

Learn about food and wine

Cons

Truly terrible work environment. Lots of drinking. So emotional and manipulative environment— constant negativity. Watched so many people manipulated, fired or quit! Management are the worst kinds of people to have power.

Pros

1. Decent Benefits 2. Regular Bonuses (On wine pairings and truffle parings when truffle supplements are being run) 3. Relatively easy to move up, if you're there long enough and half way decent at your job, you will likely move up. Sometimes it comes down to right place right time. 4.Work environment "relatively" unhostile (relative to how it used to be, and relative to other similar restaurants), but still expect some level of hostility on a day to day. 5.Understanding HR department, that tries to listen and change problems that are addressed. At least to a higher degree than what I've seen elsewhere

Cons

1. Long hours 2. Low/No Flexibility 3. Mediocre Pay (If it weren't for the crazy hours and overtime you'd not be making very much money)

Pros

This place is a great entry way to the Michelin world. By no means is it easy. But if you want to learn the basics of real fine dinning this is a great spot and it will allow you to push yourself.

Cons

The people (like most fine dining establishments) are quite insane… Managers pick favorites. People get physical. People are real adult bullies & get away with it (even though management is fully aware of certain peoples behavior). You are NOT allowed to make mistakes. You will get sent home if you break a glass. You will get yelled at by the general manager if you don’t perform well one night. It’s very intense for what they pay you and the amount of work you are expected to do. But the group as a whole is slightly cultish & everything little thing is a huge deal. Management does not hold themselves to the same standards as they hold their staff.
