Just awful place & management - Anonymous employee Nolan Power Employee Review

Much time & consideration went into the hiring and placement process. I advanced through multiple positions over the years as this company helped me set & reach attainable goals in both personal and professional development. They even offered health incentives utilizing the private gym upstairs. The environment was respectful and positive with great boundaries on work/home balance. Wisdom from multiple leaders in management taught me numerous life lessons that I in time learned to embrace and have had the opprtunity to bring to other organizations. There were internal and external initiatives to encourage teamwork and boosting morale that serviced our local community as well as overseas. The benefit options & profit sharing were better than most competetitors. This was a company that enforced the preventitive value in "Pause & Reflect" instead of being reactionary. I still hold them in the highest respect.

It took longer than expected to become accustomed to the pace and expectations, as they are unique and very high level. The majority of people hired didn't make the cut BUT those who remained were of the same vision and became family. In retrospect, the pay was under what I feel my positions encompassed but I was not vocal about requesting more. It took a (rather painfully) long time for things to be approved such as changes or event approvals, however, I now see the wisdom in the decisions of prioritization and delay.

In my 30 years of work life, this is by far the best company I've experienced. I've been with the company for 5 years now since 2012. This company has the human aspect and respects each employee as a person. My work and accomplishments are appreciated and acknowledged. They encourage and empower their employees to suggest and make positive changes to the processes. I am an Admin. We work hard, but that is because NPG hires individuals with a strong work ethic, and we work well as a team. Our technicians and sales personnel are top notch and have great commission opportunities to enhance their take home. Our management team is intelligent and forward thinking. As for diversity, we have a very diverse atmosphere as well, which includes women as technicians and sales personnel, men as Admin, employment of minorities, and a strong support of veterans. Our goal here is to be premier, and I believe Nolan Power does an outstanding job catering to their customer's needs, as well as taking care of their employees. We have a CFO who works tirelessly to make all the operations of the business come together efficiently and to the benefit of the company as a whole (the company itself as well as the employees). Most importantly, we have our CEO/Owner, Bobby Nolan, who is a great individual. He is fair, caring, and a true professional. I love working for NPG!!
