Pros

- liked the people I worked with - good sales experience for your resume -good commission

Cons

- even though your paid like it’s a 9 to 5 job, your constantly told its not a 9 to 5 job… maybe pay me like it is - forced to stay late to cover crappy freight, these customers with just screw over your relationships with carriers - the way people talked to each other in the company was mean and unprofessional - have to put your cell phone in your email, get cell phone calls constantly after hours - not really any long term career growth opportunities - most of the good reviews on here are fake - getting better but company is so disorganized. no good processed for anything. CRM was incredibly outdated and crashed like three times a week. also was impossible to stay organized through the CRM - just played loud rap music everyday could barely even hear my phone calls - brokers honestly have the worst behavior and attitudes. if your culture was really that great you wouldn’t tolerate this behavior

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
