Pros

Work environment is fun sometimes, high energy environment Free healthcare Commission structure Beer on Fridays, lunch if your office exceeds expectations by a large margin

Cons

Incredibly high pressure. Personalized emails from the CEO if your office is not performing to his expectations. Work/life balance is not considered as you need to take care of your customers 24/7. That means calls at 4am on Saturday morning. Company culture seems more like a frat house than a professional environment. Be ready to make cold calls all day for 2 months straight when you first start

Thanks so much for giving us this feedback! We make sure our internal emails are professional and encouraging. Taking care of our customers 24/7 is one of the things that sets us apart from our competitors. We understand the work/life balance can be difficult when building relationships. However, we never want our customers to reach voicemail, and being able to talk to your customers and solve problems when they need you is something Nolan prides itself on. We will continuously look for ways to balance our customers needs and our sales team needs. We are glad that our benefits, environment, and commission structure were hitting the mark.

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
