Pros

Firstly as the option isn’t available, I didn’t get the position I applied for so was never an employee. I applied for the depot driver role at Heaton in April 2024, left waiting for 8 months with no word, then proceeded through the recruitment process successfully, was offered the position and given a start date in February after passing a medical which I did in early January. I was finally informed late Jan that there was no position available and I was being put into a talent pool. There was no mention of this in the original job advert, it wasn’t mentioned at interview, or when the job was offered. No reason was given for these multiple oversites. I removed myself from the talent pool in April after finding out Northern had advertised the position again despite not having a vacant position for me.

Cons

Please see above. Also I have emailed senior management at Northern but as yet have had no reply.
