I've had the pleasure of working at NSH for almost 6 yrs. They offer so many opportunities to learn and grow. The working environment is always positive and we're like family. Working here is the reason i always try my best.

Student nurse extern

Pros

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
