Pros

I genuinely love working for NSHC. I work night shifts. At first, I felt a little uncomfortable because I didn't know anyone, but they treated me like a family member from the start and I immediately felt belonged. I love our night crew and we work together as a team. Working as a PCT, you might here an there find a nurse that is not caring but its not something usual, so majority of nurses I have worked with never looked down on me, they helped me and did their best to fulfill their duties. If you are working on MED/SURG unit and Stella or Rachel happen to be your Supervisor, then you will have the most pleasant working experinece you would ever have in your career.

Cons

I can't recall any cons except nursing in general is long working hours and a demanding job, so be prepare what you getting into.

Pros

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.

Cons

None that I can think of right now
