Pros
A fun job that came with unlimited paid annual leave. The pay was average but nothing sensational. We were given very few projects to work on. The work life balance was dangerously in the life stage.
Cons
Highly unstable business model, be nervous at the end of every financial year. You might not come back from the heavy redundancies that happen most likely every two years. Next one should be penciled in around 2024? There is little to no career progression, no guidance with not many exciting projects. Although some days not having much work on is great it's actually a huge negative overall, it leaves you bored and vulnerable to the next round of redundancies. The recruiting system at management level felt questionable. The multiple managers I had either made their team cry or micro managed to the point of losing sleep. And of course those managers in question both were fired in redundancies. (are you seeing a pattern?)
