Opportunities to learn through hands-on work because manager is hands off. Gained valuable experience and skills. Opportunities to have some leeway in work related projects. Great for those who are self motivated and resourceful and like hybrid working.
Cons
Leadership driven by ego and rarely consider feedback. Acknowledgment of achievements seemed more obligatory than heartfelt - lacking sincerity and impact from manager. Setting boundaries is often met with negativity. Often gossip behind own team members, past or present. It kills morale. Creates a toxic work environment leading to high turnover. Be exemplary, walk the talk, don't over promise.
