Pros

Minimal pros. There is a very small food selection they offer for free (details continue in the cons). Location is not terrible if you are looking for something that does not require you to trek into the city. A few of their product offerings are extremely unique which allows for minimal competition. New San Diego office space is not terrible (the comments on the office space in the cons are not applicable to San Diego). On the most part the pay is reasonable for the work and that attracts some talented individuals but those talented individuals often find themselves moving on to bigger and better companies. So being able to work along side a few people that will obviously have a future as a Googler or other fortune 500 employee is nice. Guess another pro would be they used to let people bring their dog in for a while. If that is something you are interested in. That has slowly declined over the years. Everyone is on an Apple if you prefer Apple devices. Think that is mostly due to the owners love for Apple but could be a plus if you prefer Apple.

Cons

Food selection that is "free" but most are extremely healthy options. They offer a "food allowance" but rarely does anyone ever use it all because of the bizarre selection. Most of the leadership are former intelligence agency members and the secretiveness of the company represents that. A quick Google search can find plenty about some of that secretiveness. Often times decision are made on a whim and do very little to innovate (this could be due to technical void they have yet to fill). The benefits are sub par at best. Healthcare is on the higher side, no real pluses minus a small discount to a gym and a few of the other standard things you find, like tuition reimbursement. They try to send out surveys to get a sense of how to improve but can't tell if they throw the results in the trash, ignore them, or manipulate them to seem better than they actually are but they definitely do not act upon them. Space is cramped (ever share a cubical with another person!) but new space is supposedly "in the works". Majority of the longest lasting employees work on a "good old boys" concept and if you are not in that group you are always at risk and if you fall out of that group expect to immediately end up on the chopping block. Majority of these reviews listed here are faked or manipulated at best. Due to the inflated talent and poor organizational structure there often seems to be plenty of chiefs and not enough people to get the job done. Most of their "benefits" they list are embellished at best. Listing "Generous PTO" but not listing how much, or listing "standing desk option"; try being anything but a VP and get that (excluding the San Diego office). You have a high chance of living in a cubical and if you want a standing desk you can raise your desk manually.

Pros

Wonderful place to work! This company has a great work environment with very supportive leadership, strong communication, and plenty of opportunities for growth. The team culture makes employees feel valued and motivated to do their best work.

Cons

The expectations are high, which can sometimes make the environment feel past-paced. However it also encourages personal development and pushes employees to grow professionally.
