Pros
-the peeps! Clients staff -volunteer opportunities are fun - day goes by fast - own car own radio -chill environment - hang out with cool people all day -nice to help -work days goes by fast -if you’re liked then management and office will help you and be on your team
Cons
-no privacy to meet with HR - politics. If you complain or request help from HR u will hear from the owners saying not so nice things. (Told off) -all of the above creates stress that you are not valued for your concerns and can’t speak up -company will not be understanding towards any accidents (fault or not) and penalize you for no show (even though it is a policy to provide help) same goes for little accidents. Saw this quite a bit. -no one on site has a BCBA - employers/ employees do not have patience or knowledge on illnesses (degrees) . May show frustration or mock clients. -hipaa guidelines are ignored by many.. many share stories to others that are not involved in that situation (within company) -not enough staff who are licensed/inexperience leads to poor intervention choices that confuse clients - if a client has volunteer work like delivering food, job coaches are expected to do the job to make company look good not have client do job and if they can’t or don’t do it then job still has to get done. -mileage is taken into account when discussing pay. When it should be separate and not “well ur really getting X amount” no, it’s a car reimbursement... - supervisors and managers are overworked
