Pros

Good pay, plenty of new technology to work with, and a team that works well together.

Cons

Recently the CEO made it very clear he has no empathy for his employees as he announced return to office. Last fall he held a town meeting and said we will work where we want as long as we stay productive. He advised that’s what sets OCLC apart from places like Google and Chase. Last month he did a complete 180 and held two meetings that basically told his employees that if we are not happy about returning it’s our problem and we can move on if we don’t like it. We are more than capable of being highly productive from home versus sitting in a sea of cubicles and wasting time commuting daily.

Pros

Great colleagues who are smart and nice. Main customers are libraries so you feel good about providing services for them.

Cons

Upper management is out of touch and reactive. Employees are doing more work because of layoffs and afraid to leave desks because they don’t want to be laid off next. Benefits like instructor led exercise classes are gone because they laid off that person along with many others in 2025. Career opportunities are slim because positions were eliminated.
