Pros
The build has lights and running water, oh and don’t forget the new coffee machine..... yes a new coffee machine!
Cons
OEC has become too big far too fast for the current management team who seem paralysed to react to the change of staffing level, number of products and different cultures. After two years senior management still doesn’t have a handle on the situation and if anything it’s getting worse. We’ve had company restructure after restructure moving management around at the top but still not making any real decision that effects the day to day running of the company. They have this ideal world they want to live in but have no clue how to get there, all the while still pushing employees to adapt to the situation without giving them the room and scope to be able to achieve it. “You shouldn’t be doing X that’s someone else job”, followed up by , “we can’t take that on, we don’t have staff”. That’s responded with “You can’t have more staff”, Which ends with “ok I can’t take that on then” So now the person who’s job it isn’t is still job the job they shouldn’t be doing because no one can make a decision and is still getting leaned on by their manage to to stop doing it, but your also not allowed to stop doing it. It’s like a bad carry on film. The company tries to give employees the illusion they are valued and the very next action is to cut the benefits they have received for years, so really we aren’t valued we are just more meat for the grinder.
