Pros
Weekly pay and free coffee machine (when working)
Cons
Was doing 4x10 hour shift (turnaround) meaning you do one route and then come back to the debot they fill up the van and you go back out again. They said on average in the recruitment process that you will only do 25 drops a day which is barely ever true I did most days at least 30-40. Much harder work and more than the 8hr shifts probably nearly twice as much work. The one hour time slots were next to impossible to meet most days and they question why you couldn't meet some of them when all of the drops within the hour slot were miles apart some of them there were 5 or 6 drops in one hour covering about 20 or so miles within that hour which is impossible!! Even minus traffic that is next to impossible to meet unless you were to majorly speed and even then I'm not sure haha. Only worked for 2 months here and didn't pass probation period due to making mistakes like going through a red light not noticing it probably because I was so exhausted. They expect perfection however they work you to the ground and are bound to make major errors due to it. People who had been working at the Sheffield debot for many years had told me that they push more work on their staff now than before getting every bit out of you until you can no longer take it, which is why their turnover in staff is greatly higher now and why so many loyal staff have left. I would not of been able to cope much longer and was already looking for work elsewhere just wish I had listened to all the reviews prior to going for this job. I was actually relieved when I was pushed out it only made me leave sooner rather than later. Felt like the longest 2 months of my life haha absolutely exhausting job and I've worked in catering for many years which that is nothing compared to this. The wage doesn't justify how much it will effect your overall health and life and I can honestly say I've never felt so drained physically and mentally in my entire life. Yeah you get 3 days a week off however by the time it gets to your days off a majority of the time you feel you're just recovering from your draining job and won't want to do much. Do yourself a huge favour and do not even waste your time with this company, they put higher greedy profits over their staffs wellbeing any day. If you do go for it you'll think back to this and wish you had listened.
