Pros

Odoo is a good company to start your career and learn the "ropes". However, I find that there aren't much growth opportunities for long term. The average tenure for most people is 1-2 years. My direct managers are amazing, understanding and empathetic. They truly work with us, with however much time they have.

Cons

Top level leadership doesn't listen feedback from employees and is not willing to consider changes. The only time they will consider action if there is an official lawsuit for wage theft or they can no longer fill roles that pay below market rate from the surrounding areas. They sneakily removed our work from home benefit through a company wide email the day after Christmas. (Essentially replacing them with a "swap day" for our hybrid schedule.) No empathy for employees who commute from outside of the city (which makes up most people in the company). They also made a blanket rule for in-office days in hopes to make some departments more productive on Mondays, but it makes the schedule of the Sales floor less effective since we rely on collaboration mostly on Wednesdays.

Pros

Wonderful people, interesting product, good way to build experience at a reputable company. Working hours are not bad at all and I rarely feel overwhelmingly stressed. I am truly thankful for this chapter of my life no matter where I end up down the road.

Cons

Very poor lead quality and lead distribution is a mess. Often is very much luck based which can be discouraging and hard to feel like you're getting enough opportunities to live up to your potential. There is a lot of disconnect and chaos within leadership which is common at a quickly growing international company and it doesn't bother me that much but I see many other people really struggle with it. There isn't a ton of clear opportunity for long term career advancement within sales or other departments based out of San Francisco so there is a lot of turn over which is sad to see.
