Pros

While it is nice to work from home, it's pretty clear that leaders sometimes interpret this as "24/7" availability. The families and students were really great to work with.

Cons

The Head of School is straight from a degree mill who surrounds herself with sycophants; incompetent high school graduates running tutoring/support programs; high turnover; constant threats; bad relationship with K12.

Pros

Helpful if you cannot find any other job--although, welfare might be a favorable option.

Cons

No union. When you sign a contract with OHVA they can terminate you for wearing the wrong colored socks! Colleagues disappear frequently with no explanation. Employees have no rights or protection. This company exists for one reason only; to make a profit. A former CEO was pulling in 5 million a year while the rank and file make diddly compared to real schools. Teachers are forced to pass students who have not mastered the requisite skills for their particular grade levels.
