Pros
There used to be a benefit called Work From Anywhere, which allowed you to work a certain amount of days abroad. At the beginning of this year, employees were scolded by management because the company is 25% below the goal for this year. First week of January. As a punishment, management removed the Work From Anywhere policy. Meanwhile, management themselves are cheerfully chirping about joining the All Hands Meeting from New Zealand. That was the only pro, and now it's gone.
Cons
See above first of all. Secondly; competent individuals are held back from promotions because their leads don't like them. Positions are promised and then that promise is taken back out of nowhere. The whole workplace is a cesspool of gossip. Salaries are incredibly low as well, and any attempt to bring this up is answered with either "fake news" (yes, the CEO actually said this) or "we are not answering questions about benefits and compensation today", because why would they, they know nobody is happy with it. It's the classic startup mentality where free coffee and tea and pizza every two months is supposed to make up for low salaries, high stress and being continuously treated with disrespect.
