Pros

If you know nothing, you will learn a lot because they will push you beyond you normal work hours to get stuff done. I guess that is one way to learn.

Cons

I worked here for a very long time. The amount of red flags here is stunning. I would have left sooner had I known how to spot them. Do not work here. It will destroy your soul, I have seen it happen to a large percentage of those I worked with. You will love it for 6 months and then discover the dark side to the company. Good luck getting a raise or a bonus, even if you worked there for 4+ years. The open office plan is hectic and you will find yourself easily distracted. They only have one bathroom located directly in the office, with only one stall for men. At a company with 70+ people, good luck finding a time to use the bathroom.

Pros

During the interview process, everyone talked about the culture that has been instilled at Opal and honestly it seemed a little too good to be true. Being here has showed me that everyone truly does care. They like their jobs, care about the success of the company and each other, and seem genuinely happy to work at this company.

Cons

We're a fully remote company so you don't get as much chatting time with your colleagues, but that makes the in person trips so much better!

Pros

I’m genuinely happy working at Opal. From day one, it’s been a warm, welcoming environment where people are excited to get to know me, not just as a coworker, but as a person. My onboarding experience has been smooth and supportive, and I feel set up for success with the resources and training I need to do my job well. What really stands out is that everything Opal advertised during the interview process has proven true: the benefits, the healthy work/life balance, and the thoughtful ways the company makes employees feel valued and included. It’s refreshing to see a company live up to its promises. I would wholeheartedly recommend Opal to anyone looking for a workplace where people care, culture matters, and your growth is supported.

Cons

Opal is a fully remote company which may be a con to some, but they do a good job in promoting connection and virtual "togetherness".
