Pros
OpenSesame has an open-office environment, and communication is extremely fluid both horizontally and vertically, which makes it a very comfortable place to work. As an intern for the summer of 2016, I worked on projects that had long-term meaning, while gaining invaluable experience that I know I wouldn't get elsewhere. The two employees who ran the internship program were accessible, helpful, and exceedingly kind, and the rest of the employees were also open to conversation and to giving advice. I finished the internship with experience gained in content generation, lead generation, CRM management, public speaking... the list goes on. I feel much more comfortable moving forward with my career now than I did at the beginning of my internship.
Cons
Everyone at OpenSesame is very busy, so there were times when it felt awkward to ask people about simple troubles that I was having. Ultimately, I found that concern to be irrational, though, since everyone ended up being helpful. It's also important that, if you want feedback on your projects at OpenSesame, you ask for it. Unless you're proactive about improving your work, it's easy to remain stagnant and to get almost too comfortable with the quality of your work.
