Pros
Very easy work. Fairly casual work environment. It's not very challenging which can be good or bad for a student looking to earn some money. Overall I'd say it's a good entry for down the road career jobs since you are on the telephone a lot. For example, I lucked out and got a role in B2B sales because of this experience (as well as some leadership and university experience), and then went further down the road of a career in business development.
Cons
Boring, boring, boring, absolutely mind numbingly boring. Stare at the clock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock. It's just not rewarding because you don't grow your career. It's the same thing everyday with some different surveys and it can be incredibly boring. Not to mention your bothering people and they yell at you and you can understand why because you tell them its a short survey when in reality it's about 30 minutes long sometimes.
