Cons

Micromanaging was one of the worst parts about working here. You would get teams messages from your “supervisor” in the middle of a call, criticizing something g you said, which will throw your whole call off. They expect you to manage 50+ accounts and create a meaningful relationship with all of your clients, who in return don’t even want the product they were sold. I have so much anxiety related to working now because of this job and company. I used to answer phones all day for a past job but now I shake if I have to make a call, just expecting the person on the other end to scream at me and get reprimanded because of that. If you are looking for a job in this field, stay FAR away from this place.

Thanks for reaching out to us about your experience with OPTIMIZE. We certainly remember receiving this exact feedback many years ago, and utilized that to help adjust our processes moving forward. As many of the terms you are utilizing are referencing terminology used 3 or more years ago that we no longer utilize, we can only assume this is a repost and makes it difficult to address in current time as so much has changed, especially being that we have not added any new members to the Account Consultant team in 2024. However, we'd like to thank you for providing this feedback originally as it did help to identify areas of improvement that lead to many of those changes. Good job to "get your feet wet" in the industry. I learned a lot about Google and Facebook Analytics. Great group of young professionals also new to the workforce. Opportunities for bonus pay and some opportunities for growth. Some of my clients truly were great people with good businesses. Holiday party was a blast, as was happy hours pre-covid. Some of the team leads were incredible.

Cons

Overall Business Model - Mostly auto repair clients, just not my thing. Clients - Some clients were great and appreciate your work... But the majority know nothing about social media or marketing and are hard to work with. I felt like I was constantly defending myself and proving my worth to them. It's hard to reach "talk time goals" when your clients don't care about your work. Emphasis on Sales - Even though you aren't on the sales team, you're expected to upsell clients constantly. Huge Workload - While there's systems in place to make things like posting and review response easy, I still felt I had too many clients and wasn't able to give them the best possible service. Micro-Managing - May have just been a COVID thing, but they installed tracking software on our computer to ensure "productivity" and reported on it publicly. They could also pull calls at anytime - sometimes for helpful tips, and sometimes just to correct every word. You hire your employees- trust them to do the work or get rid of them. Good employees don't deserve to be micro-managed. HIGH Employee Turnover - You're often taking on clients that have had multiple Account Consultants, sometimes within one year, and it can get really frustrating. It also makes you realize how replaceable you are, upper management doesn't even know (or care) your name or what you do.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. We understand that you were here during a major transition within our company and that it certainly had an impact on your role. We are fully aware that ActivTrak was initially introduced and utilized incorrectly, and we have worked really hard to change that concept as it is not meant to "track" our employees but instead a tool to better understand efficiency with a remote workforce. COVID certainly propelled a lot of changes to help our staff in a different way, and we know that we'll need to continue utilizing these tools as they were intiallly meant to be used for some time to help our staff build trust within them. Again, we appreciate the constructive criticism as it continues to help us make changes in the right direction.
