Pros
The products themselves have potential, and some of the lower-level staff are hardworking people who are simply trying to do their jobs under difficult circumstances.
Cons
Working in the Treasury Management department was an incredibly draining experience due to a deeply toxic management style.
- Extreme micromanagement: Management attempts to control every aspect of your workflow. There is zero autonomy, you are treated more like a child in a high-school setting than a professional. The "eye-over-shoulder" culture stifles productivity and kills morale.
-Hostile work environment: There is a pervasive culture of fear. Employees are afraid to speak up about certain issues or offer suggestions becuase of a clear and present fear of retaliation.
-Lack of Work-Life Balance: Your time is not respected. Management is overly controlling regarding PTO- questioning how much time you can get off at a time even if its MONTHS in advance, making the approval process unnecessarily difficult and making you feel guilty for using the benefits you've earned.
-Favoritism: Rules are applied inconsistently. There is a blatant "inner circle" that is allowed flexibility and perks, while others are held to impossible and fluctuating standards.
Disrespectful Tone: The communication style of management is often condescending and unprofessional, contributing to an environment that feels more like a toxic social clique than a financial institution.
Note to future candidates: Please do your research, listen to other's experiences. I strongly advise you to prioritize your mental health and well-being over a paycheck. This environment is designed to be controlling and will eventually make you miserable.
