Pros
maybe-free labcoats, pens and PPE
Cons
no work life balance now weekend work required. No raises. bonus structure now changed to annual-will get killed in taxes Health insurance is some of the worst ever- you work for united health, that's insurance and its so expensive with terrible coverage Optum NP job is a prison without walls Managers are crazy, bonus structure is completely out of reach Rules change daily. Work is constantly added. Optum bullies their way into nursing homes, expects the home to abide by the Optum rules then penalizes the NP if the nursing home doesn't abide with the rules The chain of command is sooo top heavy. Constantly barking orders, changing the rule and playing favorites. Extensive commute times, more and more work expectations. Only way to succeed is to lie about the work.
