High pressure workflow, get a customer come to the front desk and get to pick their order, you will have multiple members of the front desk asking you how long it is going to take. Health and safety:- ladders that were thrown away as beyond repair and dangerous are taken out of the skip by the ceo and pressed back into service. When asked why he said " do you know how much those things cost" In the warehouse over the road from the main building you have to climb over boxes of open loose fasteners, like climbing on loose piled shingle Shouty management culture, make a slight mistake and you would think you had stampeded cattle through the Vatican! One member of staff was fired as he had to leave as his Father had collapsed with a heart attack (i might add he notified management but they ignored it) Management, particularly lower management have got their by treading on others. brown nose and you will be fine. The management are borish ill educated under achievers that could not survive in any other company They are literally looking for any excuse to fire staff, you cannot believe the staff turnover, it's the highest i have ever seen. In a meeting they said that anyone caught putting a box of fasteners back in the wrong place is now a sacking offence. One single 30 minute break per day, that's it. Go over that by one minute, fired. Biometric clocking in and out, only benefits them. Toilet facilities often were backed up and it stank, graffiti everywhere, dirty and needed re decorating 10 years ago. During covid they had 50% of the workforce out, it's a very crammed and tight workplace and once a bug gets in it spread like wildfire. Just a terrible place to work
