Distressing and Toxic Environment - Backend Engineer Origin Digital Employee Review

This is the best company I have worked for! The people, the culture and the working environment are so good. There is flexibility with a hybrid working environment, there are regular social's and we've recently had a day out at a trials farm to see how our software can help growers make good decisions to maximise the performance of their crops. Our recent Employee Satisfaction Survey shows that we are exceeding the high performing norm of companies and yet the company is still looking to improve! The people are dedicated and motivated. There is open communication and everyone genuinely wants to help each other. We are based on a campus with great facilities and the office is modern with break out areas for collaboration and a great coffee machine! Did I mention the large chocolate snack drawer? We are also pet friendly so we allow a dog in once a week on a Tuesday.

Not sure I can find any. I would like to explore more opportunities for OD across our landscape and environmental businesses but this is evolving.

No pros at this company. Started off normal but ended in tragedy for me.

I faced racism by managers during live virtual meetings in the "Field AI" group. This was distressing. I was also isolated and ignored when attempting to take part. I was cyber stalked and harassed by a group or individuals at this company. Still unknown who the culprit was. It affected my wellbeing. My social media algorithm was corrupted and filled with depressing, negative and racist content that affected my mental health. I found unknown IP addresses were connected to my personal devices when I had resigned. The cyber harassment continued after I left the company for over a year. This affected my wellbeing. I felt demoralized. I have not found another job since I have joined this company. During my interviews after I left, I went through several cyber attacks and the wifi would cut off. I also reported this to the police. They should not have had access to my personal information. It was a violation to my privacy and trust. It was highly unorganized and unsettling to work for this company. The management were unorganized and extremely racist. This completely destroyed my confidence as a woman starting out in work after university. The harassment should have stopped when I left the company but it continued on my personal devices and social media when I left. It was a nightmare for me. It distressed me to the point of paranoia and violated my trust. The harassment was stressful and it affected my physical and mental health and I am still recovering. I was targeted by this individual or group for a very long time and it destroyed my prospects and plans in my life. I hope no one goes through what I went through at that company. The management were horrible. The person who targeted me online was a predator and would not leave me alone for over a year, they were clearly paid to harass me. It disturbed me to the point of paranoia. I had positive intentions and worked to the best of my ability, I did not deserve any of the cyber hate crimes that they did towards me.
