I strongly believe that a business should take care of their employees in order for their employees to provide great service and care for their customers.
This is a fast-casual health-food restaurant with higher than average prices on menu items. This business pays their FOH team members minimum wage ($7.25 an hour) and the employees receive a tip share (customers are asked to tip on their payment devices) divided amongst all employees based on how many hours you work. There's roughly about 18 FOH team members, so it barely makes you break even at $10 an hour. Not even full-time FOH employees are offered any benefits, paid sick time, or vacation time. Delivery drivers get paid minimum wage with no amount paid to them for mileage or gas. Customers are charged a $4.99 delivery fee, which makes the delivery drivers rarely see a tip.
This business tries to add employee culture to boost the morale of the team members, but the lack of pay/compensation and respect the business has for the employees leaves them apathetic and unmotivated.
