Pros
Good pay, good benefits and discounts.
Cons
During my time at Ornge, there were clear issues with leadership alignment and overall organization. The Instructional Designer role was not well defined, and it often felt like the company didn’t have a clear understanding of what they needed from the position. As a result, priorities were inconsistent and it was difficult to establish meaningful, stable deliverables. There were also significant gaps in team management. My direct manager struggled with providing clear direction, consistent communication, and effective coordination across the team. Expectations frequently shifted or weren’t clearly communicated, which led to confusion and inefficiencies that could have been avoided with stronger leadership. Overall, the environment lacked structure and clarity, which made it challenging for the team to operate effectively or deliver at a high level.
