Pros

team activities nice work advantages

Cons

no hierarchy (The horizontal hierarchy is good on paper, but it doesn't give anyone to talk to if needed.) excessive working hours (be prepared to work during weekends) no communication (if an employee is here for longer than you, he's always right..) I was fired because "there was no longer enough work in the company" and yet they put job offers on LinkedIn. When I was there, they said yes to people and dragged out the signing of the contract for weeks while waiting for client projects, I find that dishonest

Osedea Response

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at Osedea didn’t meet your expectations and created this resentment. We truly wish you all the best in your next chapter and thank you again for your time at Osedea. We’d like to clarify a few things for anyone reading: On our structure: We’ve adopted a no formal hierarchy structure and not a flat/horizontal model. This is designed to empower employees and reduce unnecessary layers. It does not mean everyone is the same or has the same responsibilities. That said, we understand it’s not always easy to navigate, and we’ve worked hard to provide resources, internal support roles, and clear processes to help people feel heard and supported. It's a constant work in progress, and it can be greatly appreciated by people that seek this type of structure and a struggle for someone used to more traditional hierarchies. On working hours: Our intent is never for people to work evenings or weekends as a norm. In fact, it's quite rare that we do. If someone experiences sustained overwork, that’s a signal something isn’t working, and we have to know so we can address it. In this case, we are not aware of any feedback shared with Project Managers or team leads on specific projects, especially in the last year, where we did experience a few people being on the bench. On communication: We encourage respectful dialogue and welcome diverse points of view, regardless of seniority. While it is inconsistent with the feedback we receive on Officevibe and hires that joined the team in the past two years, if that didn’t come across, we take that seriously, and would love your feedback. Also, there is always a possibility to share feedback anonymously through officevibe or someone that you trust at the company. On your departure: We understand it’s frustrating to see job postings after a role ends. Sometimes business needs shift quickly. However, in the most recent case, for Software Engineers we had a period of 4 months without hiring actively for that role, so I am confused as to what this is referencing. You can always contact me if you have specific feedback and constructive suggestions.

Pros

- It's hard not to get along with the people at Osedea. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. - Opportunity to work in domains you might not otherwise have touched - Nice office (though most days not many people are there) - Fun team activities - Decent benefits

Cons

- Pay is not competitive - Agency work often means delivering mediocre quality quickly because clients want to minimize costs - Not much opportunity to "do things right" (see previous point)

Pros

- Amazing culture. Very inclusive, and they genuinely try to keep improving. - They really care about their team. - The founder is still very hands-on and actively involved, so you actually see him on the front line. He leads by example, which is rare in this space. - Cool projects, and the option to move around within the company if you ever want a change or feel ready for something new.

Cons

- It’s an agency, so it’s not for everyone. You usually don’t stay on the same project for long, and the pace is fast. - Some projects are really interesting, others less so.
