      Worse Job Ever! - Stay Away - Anonymous employee Otometrics Employee Review

      Pros

      The are NO Pros, this was the worst career move I ever made. I can't speak to the Otometrics global sales positions, but North America is a joke made worse by the Audiology Systems Sales leadership, that seem to be way over their heads

      Cons

      I worked for the company for 3 year and they're on the 4th North American VP. The 3rd only lasted a year and now it seems they are bringing in one of the big guns from the new parent company Natus Medical that purchased the Company Jan/17 Quotas are inflated and unrealistic The comp plan is rigged not to pay commissions If you are lucky to have one good Quarter, the comp is capped North America Otometrics/Audiology Systems has yet to turn a profit

      Pros

      Interesting work. Very reasonable work level (some might say a cushy job). Effort is made to keep technology recent and relevant. Pay was pretty good.

      Cons

      The company is owned by a Danish company. Not sure if this is unique to DK or just this company, but employees are expected to be happy. Negative comments about the company or management will not be well received. Management seems to value youth, so if you are older than 50, don't apply. They do fire people...I think this often may be to get rid of employees who make too much money and replace them with less compensated and less experienced. If you are at all negative, you will be on the block when it comes time to shake things up.
