Pros
The instructors there are truly special. They do the best they can given the increasing demands placed on them by owners and the push for unethical student retention/admission. The instructors want to produce industry leading individuals who contribute to their respective fields and community in a positive manner. Managers are highly experienced staff who try to provide academic integrity to programs despite being met with unethical practices.
Cons
It's truly disheartening to know that a place with so much potential (due to the staff who truly want to provide quality education) is run by such questionable individuals who either do not recognize to accept their shady practices, or are aware but choose to ignore it. Highly qualified Education Managers are brought in to oversee programs but are micromanaged to the point that realistic, positive growth cannot happen, or last, due to the owners being unwilling to accept their recommendations as it would influence their bottom line. For example, by allowing any student into a program, despite the student lacking the entry level skills for that program, puts unnecessary stress on instructors and Managers whom are ultimately then blamed for student retention. As a result, they are encouraged/forced to provide passing grades to students who academically should not be in the program or have not completed the actual work needed to pass, as anything otherwise would result in a poor reflection on them as an instructor by the owners. When this is questioned, owners gas light the individuals into believing it is a personal reflection on their abilities rather than the lack of standards set by the owners because they only carry about money in, not quality education or the individuals they choose to lie to. International students are promised and told information that is not true, unfortunately finding out after they arrive at the college and paid tuition fees. If you choose to work here, know that you are ultimately choosing to subject yourself to criticism if you are not willing to work on week ends and vacation time, while bearing witness to the injustices faced by staff and students in the name of student retention (aka the owners' bank accounts). You are also exposing yourself to potential long term mental health and physical health conditions from the stress that are brushed off as not being serious or chalked up to not being a team player, when in reality, it is because you are over worked and undervalued.
