This former employee’s comments seem to betray a fundamental misunderstanding of how trust is earned and decisions made in a large, privately-owned organization. Our leaders’ hands-on approach is precisely what gives them essential insights that are vital to our success, and the advantage of being privately-owned gives us the agility to quickly act upon those insights and continue succeeding in a fast-changing and very competitive environment. This approach may not suit everyone, but has served us well.
