5yThis former employee’s comments seem to betray a fundamental misunderstanding of how trust is earned and decisions made in a large, privately-owned organization.
We rely on and appreciate the contributions of our employees’ skills and talent, and in turn count on them to trust our record of success. The reality is that, as a global organization, decisions made within any one of our businesses, and at practically any level, often affect the whole in ways that can be hard to anticipate without intimate knowledge of all aspects of the organization and years of experience. Our leaders’ hands-on approach is precisely what gives them essential insights that are vital to our success, and the advantage of being privately-owned gives us the agility to quickly act upon those insights and continue succeeding in a fast-changing and very competitive environment.
This approach may not suit everyone, but has served us well.
