Pros

No pros. Even the things they want you to praise them for are done in a manipulative way so they can hold it over your head if you dare complain.

Cons

-Unethical business practice: I have never seen one company deal with and lose so many cases with the EEOC and TWC. They will find any way they can to squeeze as much out of you while giving you the as little compensation possible, even if it is illegal. -Communication: Leadership is terrible at communication. This does not fall on team leads, it falls on higher ups that make things up as they go and hold employees to standards that they never explained. They have no formal HR, only an email/portal you can go to with questions about tax/time off/general ops questions, there is no safe place to go to report unethical practices or discrimination. -Unfair pay: Expect to be paid unfairly here. There is no consistency in how people are paid, and it is likely they will pay people with less experience than you a lot more than you and then make you out to be a bad guy when you mention the discrepancy. -Nepotism: Their fake "HR" department is run by a family friend of the CEO. Most of the corporate office is made up of family/friends of the CEO, and they are compensated higher and treated better than other employees. -No core beliefs: This company preaches that you should work hard, change, and grow with integrity. Yet they do none of this themselves, they only project this onto their employees to keep them in line. If you ask for a fair raise because you have been given duties that fall outside of your job description, they will tell you that it is expected that you embrace changing and growing, as they happily decline paying you fairly. There is no integrity in any decisions they make, their entire business model is based on doing things as fast and cheap as possible and getting the most out of that work that they can. You should not expect a company that makes cheap, knock off versions of genuine art and woodwork to do anything with integrity. Expect to be replaced with AI soon.

Pros

I've worked at PCI for almost 10 years and it's a great company to work for. I think everyone who moved to Texas from California for the company, which was almost every employee, would agree. They pride themselves on their culture and core values and it shows. They value family and work-life balance and offer more flexibility than you'll find at most corporate companies. The environment is supportive and collaborative and some really great people work here.

Cons

This company requires their employees to be very adaptable and I think some people are not as comfortable with change as they say they are. It's clear from the start, literally in the interview, that change is a big proponent of this industry and company and to expect it often. The company believes in putting the right person in the right position and that can mean changing titles or responsibilities and some don't react well to that. When they say you have to be open and willing to change, they mean it.

Pros

The department I was part of had great people, its a shame they have to work there.

Cons

I was hired during a major transition period and placed on a team where I was isolated from the other members of my department, which meant training was minimal to nonexistent, and I was expected to perform without proper onboarding or guidance. Communication was consistently poor. Leadership frequently changed direction on the spot, often contradicting prior feedback and approvals. Even when I referenced points from previous reviews that had already been approved and explained why certain issues existed, they were dismissed, and I was told to change things anyway. Senior leadership openly questioned the existence of my department and repeatedly attempted to push our responsibilities onto other teams. At the same time, the leadership team was aggressively pushing AI initiatives, lowering expectations around its capabilities while minimizing the value and scope of our work. This instability directly contributed to a constant lack of job security. During my final month, I was assigned duties not listed in my job description and expected to learn entirely new responsibilities without support. I was then terminated without warning, and told that it is because I wasn’t adapting to these new responsibilities fast enough, despite not being trained properly, reinforcing how unclear and unstable expectations were throughout my time there. Compensation was low for the workload and level of responsibility expected. On top of that, there was a constant lack of job security, which created ongoing stress and uncertainty. Overall, the environment felt disorganized and unstable, with little support for employees to succeed.
