Pros
I gained a level of confidence, the ability to speak to strangers, and the constant driving helped me really learn the roads in my city. That is about it for what I can confidently say I will take with me.
Cons
There are several downsides that come with working for PMC.
- No mileage/gas reimbursements. You are driving constantly (mostly using your personal funds for tolls)
- No security, they will gaslight you into feeling foolish when you ask about your safety. Working in an apartment building with broken doors, no backup if you are made to feel uncomfortable by any of the employees or prospects you meet.
They threw me to the wolves. I was not properly trained - the leasing agent they'd expected to train me quit my second week. Instead of making sure I had understanding of my job description, they simply just expected me to improve over time. I often felt like they thought I was stupid for not understanding something that I hadn't been informed about in the first place.
That stupid work phone is expected to be on at all times. I was expected to work on my days off, no proper work/life balance.
