Pros
Good points:
A leader in its industry that customers look to
Rarely a slow time
Some good, hard working, friendly people
Fair compensation
Cons
Probat Burns has undergone a management change in the last 16 months. Under its new guidance, the "leadership" strategy has been micromanagement, total lack of trust, and condemnation. The most important things are not how well you do your job, but how late you stay, and how well you can make others look bad. Under the new leadership, morale and company culture have taken a drastic downward turn. In a meeting run by the president of the company with several employees present, he stated, "I knew I was going to be disappointed by this today, so I went home last night and kicked the crap out of my dog".
There is no forward path. Employee reviews are done, with no consideration to the time or tools required to meet the goals that are outlined. Suggestions to the timelime or tools required are ignored.
There is no understanding of project scope or how to accurately plan and deliver a project. Total lack of project management (despite employing 2 project managers) leads to errors downstream that are subsequently tried to be fixed by yelling at them, rather than fixing the process.
You are not a person here, you are a cog in a machine and your treatment is reflected as such.
I would not recommend to anyone to work here, unless drastic changes are made. Don't be sold on "we're in a transition process". That has been said for years, with no progress.
