Pros
- Competitive salary. - Good levels of professional training available.
Cons
Quite possibly the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to work for. Some lowlights: - Furloughed a third of staff in 2020 and cancelled direct debits to stop paying suppliers to bolster their own profits. Suppliers threatened legal action. - Management team forced to take at least a 20% paycut on the understanding all managers would; this turned out to be a lie as 2 x warehouse managers did not. - Blame culture with tick box exercises only. Especially in finance and safety areas. - Top heavy Directorship with not enough support for people further down the chain. - Safety culture absolutely abysmal, if HSE ever got in there they would be shut down. - Long hours with the expectation of weekend availability despite not being contracted. - Production and workload always takes priority over people. - Husband and wife team run the show which essentially means the MD is a puppet with no power. - Outward projection of caring for staff, but inwardly they are seen as just a number. When your usefulness is deemed to be no more, redundancy looms. - Sexist, homophobic directorship from the 70s, especially the CEO. No BAME representation on the Board.
