Full-time analysts are always helpful and make their best effort to help you out. They also give you a wide range of responsibilities that have a direct impact on the deals you make on a daily basis. Hours are reasonable and they write you a good recommendation letter if you ask for one.

Interns are not paid a lot, but I was there most for the experience so I didn't mind. No real downsides besides the compensation aspect.
