Top heavy, too many managers and directors, some of which are not qualified to be in their position. Most senior managers and executives talk a great game but actions speak louder than words. Practice what you preach and follow through on the commitments you made to your employees. A lot of talk about work/life balance, but riddle me this. How is it possible if management continuously short staff departments and project sites? Flex time and additional PTO doesn't do you any good if you end up working longer hours after a short break. HR needs to do a better job at weeding out candidates that are unqualified. Operations needs to standardize process and have some sort of professional development training for engineers. IT is worthless, lack of support and is a constant road block on new emerging technology for the construction industry. Staff can't fix or provide the tools required for you to do your job.
