Pros
The work with products and customers, especially within the DIY audio community, is engaging and rewarding. Many colleagues and direct supervisors, including the owner Jeff, are dedicated and competent. Very open to ideas from all employees (follow through is poor)
Cons
The company’s potential is stifled by poor leadership in key positions. The marketing, product development, and creative departments suffer from lack of cooperation and inconsistent delegation, driven by directors more interested in self-serving goals than in fostering a productive environment. A detrimental hiring freeze and the absence of a dedicated HR department have led to overburdened staff and mishandled employee issues. This lack of support has driven away valuable employees for easily ameliorated issues. Compensation is below industry standards, with high-responsibility roles underpaid and hourly rather than salaried. Pay does not reflect the specialized knowledge required in the niche audio industry.
