Pros
Better than not having a job
Cons
Company has had a very checkered past that has been particularly harsh to employees. There is a divide between the those that "Survived the Dark Days" and new employees. There's a lot of emphasis on new culture and new ways of doing things, but my experience showed that past a thin veneer, nothing has really changed. The organization is stuck with promoting marginal employees to management because it is unable to attract new talent. The reputation of being a bad place to work is a fairly earned reputation. First day on the job as my supervisor was taking me around for intros and he would stop and speak poorly of each person pre/post speaking to them. Cover your backside frequently as you will need it for the daily operations meetings where managers drive their passive aggressive agendas on the backs of the staff.
