Pros

Great salary, a few nice people (when I was working there, anyway)

Cons

Incredibly toxic work environment. No body cares about what is going on in your life, because you're not allowed to have a life. I had several crises in a very short span of time while working there, which impacted my output. My manager sat me down to talk about it and struggled to hide their irritation when I explained my circumstances. They literally rolled their eyes at me at one point when I was fighting back tears. I was working harder than I possibly could, and it was still not good enough. I'm not a lazy person, or an indifferent person. I'm a person with a lot of outside responsibilities and personal health struggles, which everyone in management treated as an inconvenience. They really don't care about you here. All that matters to them is that you give up your life, your entire existence, for this company. The CEO would regularly give "pep talks" about how he never stops thinking about this company, even when he's taking a shower. There is also a ton of micromanagement and bizarre hypocrisy. I was micromanaged right from the very beginning, and berated for every single small mistake or slip-up. My manager would tell me I needed to provide more input on projects but when I did, it was ignored. I eventually just stopped trying. If you have received a job offer, be prepared to give up everything. Everything. Your health, your sanity. If you're the type of person who lives to work and doesn't care about having friends, a family, sleep, or a functioning digestive system, then go ahead and accept. If your entire life is about making as much money as possible and nothing else, go ahead and accept. If you want to work with people who will get instantly frustrated when you have a question, go ahead and accept.

Pros

The engineering team was really talented.

Cons

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. The workplace culture is toxic, starting with the leadership team, who exhibits authoritarian behavior and treats employees as mere resources rather than valued contributors. Here are some of the key issues I encountered: Deceptive Flexibility Promises: During the hiring process, the hiring team assured me of flexibility, including the ability to work from home. Initially, we were required to come to the office only once a week. However, this quickly escalated—first to twice a week, and then to a mandatory five days a week without warning or consideration for employees needing to make arrangements. This abrupt decision-making process disregards employee well-being entirely. Sudden Layoffs: Just four days after implementing the five-day in-office policy, the company terminated 25% of its workforce. This decision demonstrated a complete lack of foresight and empathy, leaving remaining employees demoralized and insecure about their positions. Unreasonable Work Expectations: In one instance, employees were told to work two consecutive weeks without weekends. This decision was non-negotiable, illustrating a blatant disregard for work-life balance and personal commitments. Stifling Open Dialogue: During town halls, the leadership team pretends to welcome employee feedback but punishes or even fires those who voice genuine concerns. This practice has created a climate of fear where employees feel silenced and undervalued. The human resources department lacks transparency and professionalism. This further reflects the company’s lack of respect for employees' expertise and contributions. Overall, this company fails to provide a supportive, transparent, or fair work environment. If you value respect, work-life balance, and professional growth, I highly recommend seeking opportunities elsewhere.
