Pros
Mine is a unique sales position with limitless potential for growth and income. I love my job because the more I research, the harder I work and the more I learn the better I become. I have been with the company for three years, the CEO is quite engaged and available (nights/weekends), very much a leader and team player. He has worked in the industry for over two decades, and is a wealth of information. I feel a very positive energy and willingness from others to help even without being asked. I have both experienced and witnessed extreme patience with the learning curve, and appreciate the non-intimidating counseled approach to teaching the high level concepts we work with on a daily basis. This all takes work - but the reward is huge! This is the last job I will ever have - I love it!
Cons
This is far beyond just reading a script - so if you aren't honest with yourself about your ability to assimilate information (history, statistics, financial planning models and law) and apply it to your conversations and recruiting (basically do the job you're hired to do) - it's not a fit. So that's not a con - that's just committing to doing your job!
